The Outliers - The Story of Success. Malcolm Gladwell gracefully explains the differences between highly successful people and, well, the not so successful. At it's root, successful people are simply put in a position to work harder than the competition. Not only are they put in this position, but they actually do work harder! Gladwell goes over the idea of 10,000 hours. A professional needs 10,000 hours to master their trade. It was incredibly interesting to hear the background of The Beatles, Bill Gates, Canadian Ice Hockey Players, and Robert Oppenheimer. Interesting to note that we often build up the idea of a genius, Gladwell explains more of the science behind the genius. Though the book was a bit simplistic... more depth may have not been so palatable. This book left me wanting more, which I believe was the intent.
